OUCS becomes Apple Accredited Training Centre

Following the redesign of one of our lecture rooms to become a Mac training suite (with generous support from Apple) we have now taken this to a second stage and become an Apple Accredited Training Centre. See our new web page for more details.

Mobile Oxford – OUCS launches new mobile service

OUCS has launched a new service aimed at mobile users (m.ox.ac.uk). At launch this includes mobile-formatted access to the Contact list search; a maps facility linked to the GPS facility showing you nearest colleges, libraries, pubs (!), etc; a feed from the University’s podcast service; and a library search that will show you on a map where the nearest copy of the book you are after is.

JANET connection upgrade (11th August)

As of 11th August our connection to JANET (the Joint Academic Network which provides external internet access for all HEIs in the UK) rose from 2Gbps to 10Gbps – reflecting the continued efforts by OUCS to expand its network services to match rising demand across the University.

Apple In-Warranty Repairs
